“The greatest risk is not taking one.”
A little over a year ago, April text messaged me about this amazing book that she’d stayed up the night before to read. She absolutely couldn’t put it down and when I had a chance, I had to read it. So there I was, in the middle of the grocery store, staring at Amazon and one clicking on a book that, although I didn’t know it at the time, would reignite my love for romance, and introduce me to two of my favorite authors. That book was Stuck Up Suit.
Since that fateful day at the grocery store, I’ve made it my mission to read through both Vi and Penelope’s back list of books. I’m not finished yet, but I’m definitely getting there, and I’ve yet to be disappointed. I love when each of these girls releases a new book, but I’m over the top thrilled when I discover they are writing a new one together. And I was ecstatic when I saw the cover for Dear Bridget and could not wait to get my hands on it.
Dear Bridget, I Want You is the story of Simon and Bridget. Simon is a super sexy resident at the hospital where Bridget works as a nurse. Bridget expectantly takes him on as a roommate, and sparks fly. These two have a connection that is magnetic, and powerful, and my favorite kind of read. They work so well together, and their charismatic charm lends so much to the story.
Simon and Bridget, as roommates, settle into an easy friendship, while at the same time fighting off any attraction that they have for each other. This fight leads to some of the most hilarious, heartwarming, and sexy scenes I’ve ever read. The banter between these two is absolutely priceless. And when they finally stop resisting the mutual attraction between the two of them, the story explodes into one sexy ball of flames!
The main thing I love about this book is Simon. He’s freaking HOTT as can be with his sexy V, six pack abs, and British accent. And his complete use of the word “luv.” Every time he said it, I fell just a little bit more in love with him.
Dear Bridget, I Want You is hands down, my new favorite Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland book. This book is a fast read, with a good flow, and excellent banter between the characters! Don’t hesitate to pick this one up, and make sure to clear your schedule because once you start, you won’t be able to stop!
