Title: Puck Love
Author: Carmen Jenner
Genre: Sports Romance
Release Date: October 3, 2017
Stella Hart is the hottest thing in country music. For ten years, she’s been Nashville’s darling. She’s pure, sweet, and a positive role model in an industry rife with scandals, sex, and sequins. Men want to own her, women want to be her—everyone wants a piece of her, and Stella? Well, she wants out.
As the center for the Calgary Crushers, Van Ross isn’t afraid of the spotlight, but he doesn’t much like it either. Despite his reputation as a player, the NHL’s bad boy lives for only two things: the game, and his younger brother. That’s why when he comes across a country music superstar seeking refuge at his home in the Canadian Rockies, he’s not too happy with the media shitstorm this surprise houseguest brings.
With a nationwide manhunt, paparazzi dogging their every move, producers of a reality TV show baying for blood, and a record label desperate to see their “good girl” returned safely home, Van and Stella’s lives are snowballing out of control.
While Van would like nothing more than to show the purest of them all how well he handles his er … stick, Stella is no puck bunny. Nor is she as innocent as she’d have the world believe.
With chemistry like theirs, tension runs high on and off the ice, but the end game is the same for both players: line up the puck, take the shot, and score. If only their hearts understood the play.
Puck fame and fortune.
Puck right and wrong.
As a romance reader, one always ends up with a favorite genre of romance. My personal favorite has always been sports romances. Last year, I read my very first hockey romance and my life changed forever. I mean, I still love all sports romances, but nothing makes me grab a book faster than seeing the words “hockey player” in the synopsis. When I saw the review request for Puck Love, I honestly couldn’t sign up fast enough.
Stella Hart is tired of her life and has completely lost her true self as she tries to be everything her record label wants her to be. Reeling from one panic attack too many, Stella takes off running, leaving a packed stadium of fans behind. With driving skills that are just a little bit rusty, she finds herself stuck in the side of a very snow covered mountain. A mountain that belongs to none other than Van Ross, the NHL’s notorious bad boy.
Rescuing Stella from the freezing cold Van brings her back to his cabin that he shares with his brother Emmett and much hilarity ensues. Van and Stella’s chemistry jumps off the pages, and these two very quickly wiggled their way into my heart. I couldn’t get enough of them. Stella’s innocence plays well off of Van’s promiscuous side, often leaving me in fits of giggles. And Emmett is probably one of the best side characters I have ever read and I adore him!
Puck Love is a fun and exciting romp through the Canadian wilderness, full of music, moose, bears, and of course deliciously hot hockey players. I couldn’t recommend this little gem enough. It needs to be on every’s radar!

“If you sucked my dick, would it end with you spitting or swallowing?”
I glare at him. “Oh my god.”
“Which is it, eh? Option A or B?”
I bite my lip. It wouldn’t be the absolute worst thing to answer the question, would it? I mean, it’s not as if I’m actually going to do it. Whether I want him to know the truth or not, the words tumble out anyway. “B. It’s only polite, right?”
His head falls back against the pillow with a groan. “Jesus, fuck. I think I just came.”
I lift the sheet and check, mostly because I want to sneak another peek at his body. “Nope, still hard as ever. I’m not really sure how that proves your point though.”
“Oh, I’ll give you my point. I’ll hammer it home nice and deep.” Van flexes his hips. The sheets strain against his hard form, and I have half a mind to straddle him and find out just how nice and deep he means. Instead, I roll my eyes and toss my pillow at him. He groans, his whole body tensing up.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry.”
A beat passes. He doesn’t say anything—just grunts as he tosses the pillow aside. A deep furrow is etched on his brow. “I think you need to kiss it better.”
“Where does it hurt?”
“Right here,” Van says, grabbing his junk through the sheet.
“You’re an animal. You know that, right?” I clamber out of bed and steal an afghan off the nearby chair to wrap myself in as I stalk to the door.
“Later, cuddle bunny,” he calls. I turn and give him the finger, and he erupts into laughter as I hurry down the hall and slam my bedroom door closed behind me.
