Two-Man Advantage by Toni Aleo is NOW AVAILABLE!
“Sexy. Emotional. Funny. Aleo’s first MM is a spectacular debut into a new genre for her.” -NYT Bestselling Author, Melissa Collins
Wells Lemiere knew the moment he saw Matty Haverbrooke, he had to have him. Matty was quiet, he was talented, he was beautiful, and Wells couldn’t stay away.
As the youngest and most talented son of the NHL Commissioner, Matty had found the burden of family expectations almost too heavy to carry on even his broad shoulders. He had no intention of getting involved in a relationship with Wells. But the heart he’d given up for dead had other ideas.
Their affair was intense and overwhelming, but when Matty couldn’t bring himself to come out and admit he wanted a public future with the man he loved, Wells had no choice but to honor his vow to live openly…and leave Matty behind.
But then he learns Wells is marrying another, and Matty knows he can’t let that happen. Can he throw down his gloves and embrace his future with both hands? Or will he pull the door to his closet shut once more?
This was my first book to read by Toni Aleo, and it certainly won’t be my last. I LOVE sports romance, especially hockey sports romance, and I knew this book was going to be right up my alley. This was a completely different side to the M/M genre that I haven’t read yet, which I appreciated.
The Story. This is a standalone book, however the characters were introduced in a previous series so I kind of felt like I was dropped into the middle of their story a little bit. There is nothing wrong with that, I just missed some of the backstory behind each character. The book starts with Wells breaking up with Matty because Matty won’t come out of the closet, which was heartbreaking for both of them. Wells hides his heartbreak through the use of another, whom later becomes his fianće, and Matty is in denial that Wells would actually go through with it. However, Matty quickly finds out it is not a bluff and swoops in in the most romantic way possible to fight for his man. Matty makes some promises to Wells that he will do everything in his power to do because he loves Wells that much. I loved this book because it focused more on the struggle of coming out than on the relationship. Believe me…the relationship is a huge part of the story that was sizzling hot with two uber alphas, but it wasn’t the whole story. It felt real to me because, in real life, not everyone is going to accept Matty and Wells’s relationship, and the book reflected that.
Matty. I related the most to Matty because he is an extremely quiet, private person, especially around strangers. This is why he struggles so much with coming out because he doesn’t see the need for everyone to know his personal business, and he struggles with what people will think of him. I loved Matty tremendously because he fought an internal struggle with himself, at high cost, and ended up winning in the end. Matty had to decide who he wanted by his side more.
Wells. I equally loved Wells because he was strong and brave in walking away in order to protect himself when Matty refused to come out. He was also patient and understanding while he watched Matty struggle with the process of coming out to his family above all. Wells knew he wouldn’t be able to live his life without his much younger man around to live it with. He put his heart on the line again after Matty shattered it, and I admired him for that. Wells was adorable to read about because he honestly didn’t care what anyone else thought about him and fully embraced who he was.
I highly recommend this story to those who love: sports romance, M/M, coming out stories, hockey, strong friend/family groups, and two alpha males battling to get what they want in life.

About the Author:
I am a wife, mother of two and a bulldog, and also a hopeless romantic.
I am the biggest Shea Weber fan ever, and can be found during hockey season with my nose pressed against the Bridgestone Arena’s glass, watching my Nashville Predators play!
When my nose isn’t pressed against the glass, I enjoy going to my husband and son’s hockey games, my daughter’s dance competition, hanging with my best friends, taking pictures, scrapbooking, and reading the latest romance novel.
I have a slight Disney and Harry Potter obsession, I love things that sparkle, I love the color pink, I might have been a Disney Princess in a past life… probably Belle.
… and did I mention I love hockey?
