Synopsis

A new brother’s-best-friend stand alone romance by USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…

I was just his best friend’s little sister.

But he was always more than that to me.

After twelve years of pining over Patrick’s easy smile, baby blues, and captivating charm, I decide to take matters into my own hands—and completely blow my chance.

Who knew a self-proclaimed manwhore would decide to be a gentleman the first time I’m naked in his bed? Definitely, not me. But when I land there again, neither of us has any intention of stopping.

There’s only one problem: nobody can know. Especially not my three older brothers. If they found out, all hell would break loose.

So I’m willing to keep our secret. Because I want him Wright here, right now.

Emily’s Review

In the past week and a half, I’ve read all four books in the Wright Series.  A few I absolutely adored (I’m looking at you Jenson and Austin) and one I wasn’t overly impressed with.  Morgan’s book fell in the middle of that for me.  I loved Morgan and Patrick and I thought they were great together but I thought the story moved a little slower than some of the others with a bit less excitement.

Morgan is the new CEO of Wright Construction.  She’s struggling to find a balance between life and work, while at the same time dealing with her estranged Uncle Owen who seems to be out to get her job.  It’s at this time that Patrick realizes that Morgan isn’t just his “best friend’s little sister” anymore, and that she’s actually a beautiful, smart, sexy woman that he might be falling in love with.

Morgan is a force to be reckoned with and I was so happy to see  a strong, confident woman in a powerful position.  She took the business by the horns, and even though she was constantly coming up against road blocks, she continued to push through to come out on top.  But when Morgan was with Patrick we were able to see a softer side of her, and I loved that too.  Morgan was her best person when she had Patrick by her side and in her life to help bolster her confidence and stand behind her in all the things she perused.

Oh and Patrick!  I’ve enjoyed Patrick’s character since he was first introduced in Jenson’s story and it was fun to see him tripping over himself as he realized his true feelings for Morgan.  Plus, no matter what, Patrick ALWAYS had Morgan’s back, and he wasn’t afraid to put anyone in their place who spoke down about her.  He was so sweet with her, and it played in nice contrast to his old womanizing days.

The only thing that rubbed me a little bit wrong with this one was the speed in which Patrick’s feelings for Morgan changed.  It seemed like it literally happened at the flip of a switch and I found that to be a bit distracting.  It wasn’t really insta love since they’d been friends forever, but it felt like that in the way it was portrayed in the book.  Also, I thought the pacing on this one was a little bit slow, with a lot of filler and not as much story.  But, overall I still really enjoyed it and fan’s of the Wright Series will find Morgan’s story entertaining at best!  Now I just need to sit and twiddle my thumbs until May when Sutton’s books come out!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars!

Charli’s Review

I have binged this series so hard in the past couple of weeks, and I was really excited to finally see Morgan and Patrick’s story. Austin and Jensen’s stories are still my favorite, but Morgan’s was very enjoyable as well.

The Story. Morgan has crushed on Patrick since high school and everyone knows it except him. It’s even become a running joke between her brothers. Morgan finally lands her dream job of being CEO of Wright Construction and is just about to give up on ever getting her HEA with Patrick when things start to change with Patrick. They start spending time alone and he starts taking care of her in ways no one ever has. However, with her Uncle Owen out for her job and Patrick working a new job, tensions run high. Will they be able to overcome and push through?

I thought the story was well written, but I did find it to be a tad slow with a lot of filler. I really wanted a little bit more depth to the story. I loved getting to catch up with the whole Wright clan. Morgan is a strong, independent, take life by the horns, kind of person, which was refreshing to see. Patrick was protective, sweet, and compassionate, toward Morgan and those he loves. These two really worked well together. I always love a good “best friend’s little sister” story and this one did not disappoint. I was a little concerned with how quickly Patrick’s feelings flipped, but not enough for it to deter me. One of my favorite romances is best friends to lovers so I was happy o see Patrick’s change of heart.
