About Until You’re Mine:

You might’ve heard of me, Shane Knox, the guy who rose quickly through the MMA fighter ranks, only to crash just as fast. No one cares about personal reasons when it comes to losing fights and money. I’m determined to get back to where I was. For you to hear my name again. I’ve finally convinced the owner of Team Domination to take a chance and get me back in fighting—and winning—shape. What I didn’t bargain for is the guy’s spitfire of a daughter. Factor in her two professional-fighter brothers who are acting as my coaches and the fact that my career hangs in the balance, and Brooklyn’s the last girl I should be fantasizing about.

The closer we get, the more I want Brooklyn. The stakes are high, and I know there’s a big chance of both of us getting hurt, but I won’t stop until she’s mine.

My Review:

This was my first time reading anything by this author, and it was really good! I love me some MMA sports romance with heroes who have lickable abs for days! There was also a strong heroine in this book, but…ABS!

The Story. The story starts with Brooklyn moving back to San Diego for the summer to help her brothers and father get their family gym back in the black. All her life, Brooklyn and her passion for art have come second to MMA, which is why she moved away in the first place. She refuses to be sucked into the world that burned her bad enough that she goes out of her way to avoid anything MMA, including dating a softy guy who looks like he models Abercrombie and Fitch. However, she forgot how much she misses the sport and how much of a pull a certain new fighter has on her. Shane is building his career back up after taking a break to take care of his mom. Shane found out the hard way that some people are only out for his money and fame, and he is not looking to repeat that with his comeback. He can’t afford any distractions, but a certain blonde haired, totally off limits woman crashes into his life who might be the best distraction he has ever encountered. These two know that it can only end badly for a million reasons, but both can’t seem to fight this incredible pull. I thought the story was very well written and had a good plot line. I loved the relationships that Brooklyn had with her brothers. Speaking of the brothers…I can’t wait for their books fyi. I really felt the characters had such a depth to them that it made the story that much better.

Brooklyn. I felt that Brooklyn was an extremely strong character because she was not gonna let anyone stand in the way of pursuing her dreams again. She fought to make sure she didn’t let her dreams get put into the bottom of the list of priorities, even when her dad only thought of her art as a “hobby.” Brooklyn was feisty as hell and could take down any man with a few well placed jabs. She was not one to let anyone give her crap without dishing it right back to them. Brooklyn has so many walls put up after being damaged by the MMA world in more ways than one. It’s almost impossible for her to let anyone in…until Shane. My heart was soaring for Brooklyn when the stars aligned and everything was right in her world because she deserved it.

Shane. Shane was another strong character that is fighting hard for what he wants, even though he rarely ever gets what he wants before its pulled away. Shane bounced around foster homes and got into too many fights before Tammy took him in, and enrolled him into a boxing gym. That changed his life and he was almost all the way to the top before he crash landed hard back on Earth. Shane is an honorable man who put his family before his career. Now, he is fighting to get back up to the top, but he will smarter about it this time around. He doesn’t expect to find himself not only fighting for a career, but fighting for Brooklyn. I loved Shane as a character and the way he understood Brooklyn. He was the real MVP of this book and I was so proud of him.

I highly recommend this book to those who love: MMA sports romance, romance, difficult pasts, feisty heroines, and strong heroes.

Overall Rating: ★★★★.5/★★★★★

About Cindi Madsen:

Cindi Madsen is a USA Today Bestselling author of contemporary romance and young adult novels. She sits at her computer every chance she gets, plotting revising, and falling in love with her characters. Sometimes it makes her a crazy person. Without it, she’d be even crazier. She has way too many shoes, but can always find a reason to buy a new pretty pair, especially if they’re sparkly, colorful, or super tall. She loves music, dancing, and wishes summer lasted all year long. She lives in Colorado (where summer is most definitely NOT all year long) with her husband and three children.
