BLOG TOUR: Baby Daddy by Kendall Ryan

A hot and hilarious new standalone from New York Times bestseller Kendall Ryan.

We met in a trapped elevator.

Emmett was on his way to work, sophisticated and handsome in his tailored suit and tie.

I was on my way to the sperm bank. Awkward, right?

At thirty-five, my life hadn’t taken the path I thought it would and I was tired of waiting—I wanted a baby. And I was ready to take matters into my own hands to make it happen.

After our ill-fated elevator encounter, Emmett insisted on taking me to dinner—he also insisted on something else—that I ditch my plan involving a turkey baster and let him do the job. He would be my baby daddy. He was a wealthy and powerful CEO with little interest in diapers or playdates. And since he didn’t want kids, I’d be on my own once his bun was in my oven, free to go my own way.

But once his baby was inside me, it was like a switch had been flipped, and I got a whole lot more than I ever bargained for.

This full-length standalone contains a hot, swoonworthy hero, lots of playful banter and some hot baby-making ! Enjoy.

My Review:

Y’all know how much I love a good baby romance, and Kendall Ryan did a fantastic job with this one! It was quick, light, fun, with enough of a twist to mix things up. I have read several of Kendall Ryan’s books and she rarely disappoints!

The Story. I felt this was well written and had a deliciously fast pace to it. The characters were likable and relatable. However, this was very much a surface read…meaning there wasn’t a whole lot of depth to it. I felt the author could have explored the each of the character’s histories a little bit more, but sometimes it is best to just write a fun novel that people can escape into. I love reading quick, fun books when I have been reading a train of darker or more emotional books.

Emmett. Emmett is not prepared to get trapped in an elevator with one of the most confident, sassy women he has ever met. Emmett is married to his work and never wants to put a family through coming second to his work. He figures he can help Jenna out while working her out of his system, and then they would go their separate ways. He doesn’t bank on actually enjoying spending time with her outside of the bedroom. He finds himself in an increasingly difficult situation, but he needs to figure out if he wants to be there for the long haul.

Jenna. I greatly admire Jenna for taking things into her own hands to start the family she always wanted. Her biological clock is ticking, and she has given up on finding a partner. Jenna is thrown for a loop when a hot, smart CEO wants to help give her the family she craves, but she has to keep reminding herself that he is only a sperm donor. Nothing else. She can keep her growing feelings from blurring the lines…right??

I loved getting to know Emmett and Jenna! I recommend this book if you love: baby romance, quick reads, steamy reads, confident heroines, and sweet heroes.

Overall Rating: 3/5 Stars!
