Title: Tap That
Authors: Jennifer Blackwood & RC Boldt
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: March 6, 2018
The beer’s not the only thing getting tapped.
I have a secret. It’ll get me fired if my boss ever finds out…which shouldn’t be a problem except for one thing: my coworker, Reid Morgan.
He’s cocky, aggravating, and that hot-as-sin mouth simultaneously makes me want to slap him and melt into the mattress.
Now that he’s discovered my secret, he’s doing everything in his power to take my job.
I have a problem: my pint-size spitfire of a coworker who’s primed to take my promotion.
She’s infuriating, sexy as hell, and I just can’t seem to keep my hands off her.
Now we’re both vying for the same position…and only one of us can come out on top.
I’ve really grown to enjoy R.C. Boldt’s writing, and when I discovered she had a new book coming out with Jennifer Blackwood I was ecstatic. I knew I would be in for a good time, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed.
Tap That was laugh out loud funny. The dialogue was fantastic, especially between our two main characters. The story moved fast, and kept a smile on my face the entire time. I burned up my Kindle as I flew through the chapters, desperately needing to know what was going to happen next.
Tap That is the story of two people, Callie and Reid that both work at a local bar. Callie is the new manager in training, and Reid is the bartender who is pissed that he wasn’t offered the manager position. Add in the fact that Callie hates beer, and it’s a recipe for disaster.
Let’s talk about Reid for a minute. Basically these were my thoughts throughout the book. “Wow, he’s a dick…Oh so he’s actually kinda sweet…Nope, definitely a total asshole…Wait, no, I love him.” Reid comes out of the box with a really strong dislike for Callie because he blames her for taking the job he really wanted. He takes his anger out on Callie like a two year old whose favorite toy was taken away from him. But despite his anger, Callie keeps getting under his skin, and when these two finally come together, it’s like a round of firecrackers going off.
Callie was everything I look for in a good heroine. She was strong, sassy, and gave as good as she got. She always let Reid have it right back, and wasn’t one to walk away from a fight. She knew what she wanted, and was determined to make good on her goals. Plus, she was incredibly funny, and her chapters gave me life! They were totally giggle inducing, and a few times I had to put the book down until I could control my laughter.
I highly recommend Tap That to any romance reader who loves a good laugh, a feisty couple, and an adorable romance story.
