BLOG TOUR: Filthy Gods (American Gods, #0.5) by R. Scarlett

Filthy Gods (American Gods 0.5), an all-new Sexy Romance by R. Scarlett is AVAILABLE NOW!!

Prelude in the American Gods series.

Young. Wealthy. Elite. Attractive. The gentlemen’s secret society at Yale was filled with them.

And Nathaniel Radcliffe, the bane of my existence, was one of them.

As the right hand of the American Gods, he was conceited and arrogant. A dangerously handsome man in a tailored custom suit and shiny black oxford loafers.

The classroom was our battlefield. We made a sport out of arguing and debating, ready to do anything in order to win over the other.

Deadly opponents, deadlier minds.

I’d sworn I’d never give him the upper hand, until…

The secret I’ve been hiding for the last three years?

He just discovered it…and now he has all the power.

MY REVIEW

I have become a huge fan of R. Scarlett’s books this year and I knew I needed to be among the first ones to read Filthy Gods! I was drawn in just from the plot line and I love a good college romance with steamy Ivy Leaguer’s.

This novella features Nathaniel, a rich boy with high aspirations, and Juliette, a girl determined to make her future better than her past. These two were enemies from the beginning of their college years, and decided they needed to engage in a summer fling in order to get the distractions out of the way. Well one thing led to another and they find themselves immersed in feelings neither of them were prepared to endure.

I am always wary of novellas because I feel like I am always missing a part of the story, but that was not the case with this one. Scarlett did a phenomenal job of giving us the whole picture of these two in a fast forward way while setting up her new series brilliantly. I got the characters backgrounds, their school years so far, their aspirations when they graduate, and the relationship that they had with each other. I also got to meet and get a pretty good introduction for the future characters, which I can’t wait to read about!

Juliette was such a strong female character with a drive only rivaled by Nathaniel’s. I admired her feisty flare and her willingness to fight to the death no matter if it was a professional debate or a wrestle for control in the bedroom. She was one determined woman who was ready to take on the world, but she had no idea that the feelings she held for Nathaniel were the one thing that she would not stomp on to further her career.

Nathaniel was just too sexy for his own good and knew exactly how to play things in order to get what he wanted. He was a master for controlling his emotions and only seemed to lose his control around a certain feisty brunette whom he has had his eye on for years. Seeing as I am a Hufflepuff, I admired his strong loyalty to Juliette and his friends. He would go to bat for any of them and they would do the same for him.

I truly loved this novella and can’t wait to see what comes next! I highly recommend this novella to those who love: conspiracies and secret societies, college romance, strong heroines, and powerful heroes.

Overall Rating: 4.5/5 Stars!

About R. Scarlett

R. Scarlett lives in a small quaint town in Southern Ontario, Canada and has an unhealthy obsession with mythology and romance.

From studying English literature and minoring in History, she loves losing herself in a good book and snuggling up to her Brittany Spaniel.

When she’s not writing or plotting a delicious novel, she can be found hanging out with friends and family, going on long car rides, exploring small towns, or watching reruns of Sex and the City.
