The only thing more hilarious than the movies is… real life?! Fall in love with the hot new romantic comedy series from USA Today bestselling author, Lila Monroe!

Stylist Gemma Jones is competing for a once-in-a-lifetime promotion. All she has to do is take some fashion-backward guy from geek to GQ-worthy. The only problem? The man in question is her hairy manwhore of a next-door neighbor. AKA Bigfoot.

Zach Morrison has zero interest in being Gemma’s makeover mannequin. Sure, it’s fun getting his smart-mouthed neighbor all riled up, but after cashing out of his tech start-up and going through an ugly break-up, he’s taking a permanent vacation. If he wants to wear sweatpants and sleep on a mattress in the corner of an empty apartment—

OK. Maybe he needs a little push in the right direction. But as Gemma races the clock to win her bet, she finds that Bigfoot’s been hiding a few things under his baggy flannel shirts. Like abs of steel, and a surprisingly big…

Heart. He has a big heart.

Soon, sparks are flying between this unlikely couple, but can Zach embrace a fresh start – however manscaped it might be? And will Gemma beat out her fashionista rival for the top spot – and keep the truth about their bet from Zach?

Find out in the hot and hilarious new romance from “the reigning queen of rom-com”, USA Today bestselling author Lila Monroe.

Lila Monroe is back in this hilarious new series focusing on a group of girls that have a so-called “Chick Flick Club.”  How to Choose a Guy in 10 Days, is the first book in the series and starts Gemma, our fashion guru who works at a new upstart company, and Zach, or overly hairy, lumberjack neighbor.  We actually met these two characters in Man Candy, and I was instantly intrigued.  These two hated each other, and I needed to know what would happen if maybe they didn’t hate each other so much.  Because Lila Monroe can read my mind (not really, but I can hope) she wrote their story and I am thrilled with the results.

As always, Lila has written two funny, but intriguing characters that kept me fully invested in the story.  Gemma is a hard worker, a go getter, and she’s out to better herself by landing the new position within the start up company she’s come to love.  However, when her rival in the company bets her to make over a guy in ten days, she never would have imagined it would be Zach, her grumpy, hairy, loud neighbor.  Zach, on the other hand, is living the “high life” and really isn’t on the market for a complete make over, and perhaps Gemma is just a bit more than he bargained for.

These two characters were absolutely perfect for each other, and I loved the adventure of getting them together.  Lila Monroe always creates characters that have amazing chemistry and blend incredibly well together.  These two were no exception.  And when two characters click like they did, it makes the writing even better.  I flew through the pages of this one, laughing out loud, and loving every minute of it.  This is a great starting point for any new readers of Lila Monroe’s books, and these are authentic, entertaining characters to start with.  I’ve always been a huge fan of chick flicks, so this might just be my favorite series of Lila’s yet!

4/5 Stars!!
