BLOG TOUR: The Lovers by Fiona Cole

Release Date: October 25, 2018

Cover Design: Lori Jackson Design

I loved him first.

Jake was my best friend in college-my very straight best friend, until one night he was more. He may have run after what happened between us, but I never forgot him.

When fate puts us in the same place, five years later, he has a fiance by his side. Carina is beautiful, driven, and draws my attention almost as much as he still does.

A game of truth or dare leads to a wild night and a relationship that has our feelings growing into something bigger than any of us intended.

But what happens when our feelings deepen? Can I handle being with two people?

If it means I can have him, I’ll love them both.

Charli’s Review

Oh wow. I have read Fiona Cole before, but this was a whole new Fiona Cole that was sexy, passionate, emotional as all get out, and SO DAMN HOT! I immediately knew I was going to want to read this book as soon as I read the blurb because I do enjoy me some MMF.

Now, I thought I knew what I was getting into when I started this book, but boy was I wrong. There were things that happened that I did not see coming! The writing was so well done and the flow of the book was flawless. I loved how the story was told and the way that Fiona made me literally stay up half the night reading this book.

For me, the characters are what made this book the absolute perfection that it was. I got so damn attached to each characters that I completely fell apart whenever one of them did and I did a huge happy dance when things went right. I just felt so connected to these characters and what they went through. Jackson, Jake, and Carina, all hold a piece of my heart, but Jackson is the one who will keep that piece forever. He was everything in this book, and I adored him to no end.

I am dying to see what else Fiona has in store for us because I will definitely be putting her down as a auto buy author after reading this book!

Overall Rating: 5/5 Stars!

Emily’s Review

This. Book.  I can’t even express my feelings coherently right now.  M/M has quickly become a favorite genre for me, and I enjoy mixing them into my normal romance reads.  When I heard that one of my favorite authors, Fiona Cole was writing a MMF romance, I KNEW that I had to get my hands on it as soon as possible.  Her books have always blown me away, and holy hell she really did it this time.  This book was EVERYTHING.

First, let me just start off by saying this book is HOT.  I’m pretty sure my Kindle damn near went up in flames a time or two.  In typical Fiona fashion, she’s hidden a much bigger, emotional story behind the sexiness of the title and blurb and before you know it, you’re knee deep in angst, and overwhelming emotions.  My heart literally hurt for Jackson throughout this one.  He was a man that knew what he wanted but always felt like he was just on the edge of really, truly having it.  It was an overwhelming feeling, and there were a few times that I just wanted to burst into tears at all the feelings!

The one thing that I love Fiona for is her characters.  Like almost every book she’s written, I fell in love with these characters from the very first chapter.  There’s just something about the way she writes that makes me want to gobble up all of her words, and The Lovers was no exception.  And if I had to choose, I would say that The Lovers is Fiona’s best work to date.  And I never thought I’d find another book of hers that I loved as much as Shame, but she’s certainly done it with this one.  This book innocently walked into my life, and taught me lessons about love I didn’t even know I needed.  These three characters will stick with me for a long time, and don’t be surprised if The Lovers pops up on my top reads of the year, because this was just too good not fall head over heels in love with!
