Evangeline Thorne is privileged.
Beautiful and popular, if not a little jaded.
A chance encounter with a green-eyed stuntman sets off a chain of events that turns her perfect, little world upside down.
Short on options and desperate for adventure, she joins the traveling carnival for the summer.
Thrust into a world full of drama, deception, and secrecy, Evangeline tries to find herself and protect her heart in the process.

Sebastian McAllister is cursed.
He knows better than to think otherwise.
He’s content to live out the rest of his life traveling the country as one of the four Sons of Eastlake, seeking thrills the only way he knows how.
The one thing he doesn’t see coming is the spoiled blond with stars in her eyes.
The only problem is, the more time he spends with her, the more hope starts to stir in his dormant heart.
Too bad hope is a dangerous thing when you’re a McAllister.

Emily’s Review

I read a lot of romance with heroes that are angry, and scrunch up their eyebrows and give dark looks.  They’re normally wearing leather, and smirk a lot.  I’m not sorry about that.  When I started Rewrite the Stars, I thought that it was going to be another one of these romances where the hero is angry and the heroine heals him and brings him to see the light.  However, I was so, so wrong.  Rewrite the Stars was different then anything else I’d read, aside from the hero who is angry and wears leather.  First of all, it takes place at a carnival.  There are carnies, and showgirls, and boys who breath fire.  The setting for this one makes the entire story a whole other level.  Secondly, you’re dealing with a girl who has basically fallen from her ivory tower, and a hero with a family curse.

Yes, you read that right.  A family curse that goes back generations.  No male in the family will leave past his 25th birthday.  It’s crazy, but intriguing, and kept me turning the pages.  I couldn’t stop reading and flew through this one.  Charleigh always does a great job pacing her novels and they’re quick reads that leave me feeling all sorts of feelings.  Sebastian is probably my favorite bad boy that’s she’s written and I adored him and Evan.  They were a great match for each other, and the chemistry between the two of them flew off the pages.

If you haven’t read anything yet by Charleigh Rose, you are truly missing out.  Her novels are always full of the best kind of angst, and sexy times.  I highly recommend them all, especially Rewrite the Stars and Bad Habit.  They’re all available in the KU program so make sure you check them out!!

5 Stars!

Charli’s Review

This book was unlike any book that I have ever read. Mostly because I am not a huge carnival fan, but do not let that deter you from this book because it was fantastic. I have fallen head over heels in love with Charleigh Rose and her writing.

This was such a beautiful story full of intriguing, unique characters. I loved the sense of community among this group and between all of the cousins. It was fun to see the relationship between the cousins throughout the story and how they are all jaded because of this family curse that goes back generations. This was a story about true love persisting above all else and coming out the other side even brighter. Evangeline and Sebastian both have dark pasts, but it was incredible to see them overcome them and find a way to break the cycle.

I really wanted more from this story because I loved this cast of characters so much. I am hoping to get the cousin’s stories soon because I want to see them all beat this curse!

Overall Rating: 4.5/5 Stars!
