Everytime Cambria releases a new book that so much as mentions one of the #Hashtag characters, I cannot wait to read it.  I bought #Vacay the minute it released and had it read in finished within a few hours.  And I couldn’t have been happier.

For years, I saw #Nerd pop up on my recommended reads list on KU, and I just never took the dive into the series, until I saw one of the bookstagrammers I’ve followed for a long time raving about how it was her favorite series.  I trusted her opinion explicitly, so I decided to give it a try.  Within a week, I had read the entire #Hashtag series, and the first two books in the Gearshark series.  Since that day, I’ve become a Cambria Hebert fan for life, and she will forever be an insta buy author for me.

Now, all that being said, I am going to confess I haven’t read the BearPaw Resort series yet (hangs head in shame…), but it’s definitely on my TBR.  However, not reading that series, didn’t make reading #Vacay any less entertaining.  Most of the book is told through the point of view of Romeo and Rimmel who I’ve adored for years.  It was wonderful to be back with them, and to remember just how much those two are completely in love with each other.  Romeo has always been my favorite book boyfriend, and he proved to me over and over again in #Vacay why I fell in love with him in the first place.  And my little Rimmel.  She’s still just as clumsy and awkward as always, and had all the same quirks and idiosyncrasies that I have come to love so much.

#Vacay is a great little novella because it gives you a short little snippet of everyone’s life, and it was a fantastic check in to see how they’re all doing and how big all the kids are getting.  For me, the crew from the #Hashtag series is like family, and this was like spending the holidays with those whom I love!

5 Stars!
