Another week has come and gone already, and we’re one week closer to Christmas. I finished up the last of my shopping yesterday, and aside from wrapping, I’m all ready to go. The plan is to start my wrapping tonight once all the kids are asleep and in bed, and then finish it up once the Amazon prime packages start rolling in. I’ll be honest, I’m cutting it close this year, but I should make it with a few days to spare. I finished up my Christmas cards last night, and they’re ready to be dropped off at the post office. All in all, not too shabby.
This week was BUSY. I volunteered at the school two days this week to help with their holiday shop, and surprised both my kids by being there on their shopping day. It was worth the stress of getting there and missing work, just to see the smiles on their faces. I also had two days off, and spent those shopping and cleaning for the holidays. I also posted earlier this week, that my basement is DONE. It looks fantastic and I am so excited to host Christmas this year and have that additional space to use. Finally, Friday night, the hubs and I went out with friends on Friday night for a nice dinner and a bit of holiday cheer! It was nice to get out of the house and spend some time with adults!
Reading wise, it was a slow week. I read and finished Verity by Colleen Hoover late Sunday night, and then….nada, nothing. I haven’t finished another book all week. I did start Beautifully Broken Pieces by Catherine Cowell, who I adore. She is seriously one of the sweetest humans I’ve ever had the pleasure of speaking with. It’s so good, I just haven’t had the time to finish it. Hopefully I’ll be able to do that this week! It’s my only reading goal for the week, as I doubt I’ll have much time for anything else!
Charli graduated this past Friday and life has been busy! Her weekly update is coming soon!
We have a few cover reveals coming your way this week, including the cover reveal for Kim Karr’s surprise release!
