REVIEW: If I Only Knew by Corinne Michaels

42190759.jpgNew York Times bestseller Corinne Michaels brings a new heartwarming second chance at love standalone romance.

My life was perfect – until a shocking tragedy pulled the rug out from underneath me.

My children were left without a father. I was without a husband and a provider. Instead of wallowing in my grief, I buried myself in my work at Dovetail Enterprises. Landing the promotion as the CEO’s right hand was exactly what I needed.

Getting saddled with Milo Huxley as an assistant is exactly the opposite.

I can’t stand him.

He’s arrogant, irresponsible, and out for my job. As if that’s not bad enough, he has to be devastatingly sexy, and have a posh English accent that makes me squirm on top of it all. I’ve had enough unpredictability for one lifetime, thank you.

But soon enough, we’re fighting less and laughing more. He’s there for me when no one else is. And those good looks aren’t the only panty-dropping thing about him.

If I only knew what to do about it…

REVIEW:

I have been looking forward to If I Only Knew since I finished reading Not Until You because single parent romance is one of my favorites! Plus there is a sexy British man that I can not get enough of! Corinne continues to impress me with each book that she writes.

We have seen Danielle’s journey throughout her friends books and I was so freaking excited to finally see her get her book. Danielle is still grieving the loss of her husband and picking up the pieces of her life to move on for her two kids. One thing she does not expect is for Milo to enter her life and make her smile again. Danielle is such a sweetheart who is the best mom. I loved her personality and the journey she took with Milo.

Sexy ass Milo. He came to the US to get his job back and get back at his brother, but there is only one problem…Danielle currently has his job. The more he gets to know Danielle and her past, the more he falls in love with her. This man is drop dead gorgeous and has an inner sweet side that he only shows Danielle. If I could pull Milo out of the book and replicate him, then I would be one happy AF woman.

These two together were a match made in heaven. They were sweet, silly, sexy, and so freaking adorable. I loved the work they each put into their relationship and the persistence they showed to make sure they got their happy ending. When circumstances and life tried to tear these two apart, they only clung tighter together until the storm passed. I could not get enough of these two!

Overall Rating: 4/5 Stars!
