Mr and Mrs Title:  Mr. and Mrs.
Author: Alexa Riley

Pub Date: April 10, 2016

Welcome to Alexa Riley Promises. This series is dedicated to old romances. It’s tropes galore, with all of our usual over-the-top alphas and sweet cheesy goodness.

These short books will focus on traditional and classic tropes while sticking to the Alexa Riley code: no cheating and always with an HEA. That’s our Promise to you.

Mr and Mrs

Phillip has been married to Molly for a year. He’s beyond obsessed with his new wife, to the point that he has to hold his true feelings back. If she knew how crazy he is for her, she might push him away.

Molly is feeling distance growing between them, and she’s worried she’s not enough. One night she walks in on Phillip, and it changes everything.

When Phillip discovers Molly was in an accident and now has amnesia, he’s going to do all he can to make her fall in love with him again. Holding nothing back this time.

Warning: It’s just as crazy as it sounds and just as over-the-top ridiculous. If you want to get silly with us and spend a little time away from reality, grab this one up!

Review

Alexa Riley is known for her feel good insta romances full of hot sex, and ridiculous situations.  I was first introduced to Alexa Riley through the Read Me Romance podcast, and when I saw that this one was free on Kindle I jumped on it.  The plot sounded so incredibly cheesy, I had to see how these two authors were going to pull this one off.  And surprisingly, I absolutely loved this one.

I’m not a huge fan of insta love stories, but Mr. and Mrs. started about a year into the couple’s marriage.  Yes, their love story was quick and they were married soon after the met, but that was all back information.  By the time we met Molly and Phillip, their relationship was well established, but suffering.  Phillip was desperately in love with Molly and trying to do everything he could to make her life only about him.  However, Molly thought that his late nights at work meant that he was stepping out on her, and when something happens that reinforces her thoughts, she runs away from Phillip and her marriage.

This is where the whole story gets really crazy, and you have to read it to believe it.  I was hooked from the start on this one, and couldn’t put it down.  It was the perfect quick little pick me up that I needed to help me get out of my reading slump.  The writing was solid, the storytelling was great, albeit over the top, and I loved these characters.  If you are looking for something quick and fun, make sure to check this one out as soon as possible!

4/5 Stars!!
