Blonde. Gorgeous. Feisty.I was smitten. But it didn’t matter because she chose him and he was my best friend and roommate. I’d never be able to compete with that, so I pushed her away instead. It was easy when she lived hours away, and I didn’t have to see her every day, but then she moved in with us. Now, I’m screwed.
To her singing in the shower every morning, dancing in the kitchen while she makes coffee, and doing yoga in our living room, I can’t stop thinking about her in all the wrong ways. She’s not mine and
never will be, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to push her against a wall and claim her mouth.
She’s constantly on me for making messes, bringing chicks home every weekend, and being a smartass when their PDA gets on my nerves. Considering neither of them know how I feel, it’s not fair for the way I act toward them. I should move out so I can get over her for good; however, the selfish part of me can’t let go.
But then the unthinkable happens…
When my best friend dies in a motorcycle accident, the two of us are left to grieve our loss together. Instead of pushing her away, I pull her closer.
Just as we come to terms with our new reality, she finds out she’s pregnant with his baby.
And I’m left to make the hardest decision of my life…
Oh Kennedy Fox. How you make my heart hurt! K Fox was one of the first authors I discovered when I really took a nose dive into independent publishing and romance. I read and LOVED This is War quickly after it was published, and I’ve spent the rest of my life wasting away as I wait for their next release. They’ve been teasing Baby Mine for what feels like YEARS, and I’ve been anxiously awaiting to get my hands on it, even though I knew that this wouldn’t be an easy read.
Kennedy Fox always loves their angst and this book is packed full of it. Every single page left me feeling more and more anxiety ridden and by the end I was an absolute emotional mess. I’m a reader with a lot of feelings anyways, and it doesn’t take much to make me cry, so you can only imagine how much of a sobbing mess I was as I made my way through these pages.
If I’m being honestly, I hated both Hunter and Lennon when this book started. They were both being immature about the whole roommate thing, and their constant fighting was a little wearing. But by the time the really heavy hitting emotions of the book came into play, I just wanted to take both Hunter and Lennon and wrap them up in my arms in a big bear hug. They really grew on me, and I’ve grown to completely love them and they’re one of my favorite romantic couples.
Baby Mine is, by far, one of the best books that Kennedy Fox has ever written and I’m both excited and dreading Baby Yours. The ending of Baby Mine was so good, but so gut wrenching because I DESPERATELY NEED TO KNOW PEOPLE’S REACTIONS.
Ohhhhh man. This was an extremely tough read by two of my favorite authors. There were elements of this story that I lived for, and there were elements of this story that I dreaded reading.
I absolutely hate the feeling of a heroine caught between two men, but I also love me a secret baby romance. Kennedy Fox effortlessly weaved this story of heartbreak and love, loss and life, friendship and loyalty. This was truly a special story that I was not expecting and some of KFox’s best work to date. They really get better with each book, which has been incredible to read.
I adored the two man characters, Hunter and Lennon. They were everything they needed the other person to be. Hunter is loyal and kind, Lennon is sweet and beautiful. I am shocked and can’t wait to see what book 2 brings us!
I wish I could be more detailed, but I don’t want to spoil it! This is a book that is best when you literally have no idea what to expect excuse YOU AIN’T READY FOR IT!
Overall Rating: 5/5 Stars!
