REVIEW: Inspired by Jessica Florence

Call it pure desperation, or maybe we’d agree it was the lack of sleep that had me signing six weeks of my life away to be bossed around by a life coach. Either way, I was trying to get my life together, and Logan Woodland was going to help.

I thought he’d make me eat healthier, drink more water, and do yoga. What I wasn’t expecting, was to be forced to see myself as I was and how far I’d fallen.

But then his program worked.

He’d shown me a life filled with passion and desire. A life where I was stronger and could be the woman I’d never known existed inside me.

I did have a six-week life-changing experience, but now, I wanted more than I’d signed on for.

 A contemporary romance

 This book is a standalone.

I love love Jessica Florence and the books and characters that she creates. This book was different than any she had ever written, which was really cool to see. This book deals with some heavier topics like depression and finding your zeal for life again. It talks about taking a deeper look into yourself to discover the things that are holding you back in life. At the end of this book, I was wanting to go out and find a life coach of my own!

I really liked Mia’s character. She has been holding the world up on her shoulders because she refuses to give up control. She has been knocked down by her ex one too many times. She just needs someone to help her get out of her funk, which is where her life coach comes in. My favorite thing about Mia was her inability to give up and stay in bed while the world passed her by. She is a strong character who just needed a little help to remind her of all of the positive things in her life.

Logan was also an amazing character who has been where Mis was (even worse off) and came out the other side looking to help others do the same. He uses his counselor knowledge to bring people back to life and to constantly be there until they don’t need him anymore. Logan is sensitive and compassionate. After his downfall, he refuses to give up who he is for anyone ever again. I wanted a little more from Logan, but overall, I really enjoyed him.

Overall Rating: 4/5 Stars!
