An unforgettable one-night stand filled with heat and passion starts the unraveling of a love-hate feud between a small-town baker and an arrogant cowboy.

When Katarina shows up at the Circle B Ranch Bed & Breakfast to serve her new gluten-free, sugar-free, organic pastries, Braxton decides to make her life hell for kicking him out the next morning and then pretending he never existed.

First step, make fun of her tasteless muffins.
Second step, get revenge.

Soon the duo are at each other’s throats, getting even until things go too far and the chemistry burns too hot.

Kat claims their night together meant nothing.
He’s determined to prove her wrong.

Emily’s Review

You know we have eternal love for Kennedy Fox here at Rad Babes Read, and we’ve read every book these two have ever written together. And some of my favorite books by them feature cowboys. So it’s no surprise that I enjoyed Roping the Cowboy.

For me this was a cute romance, with some pretty steamy parts. Braxton and Kat meet up in a bar when she’s stood up by a blind date. One thing leads to another, and they spend the night together, but Kat panics the next morning, kicking Braxton out of her house and her life. Or so she thinks. It isn’t until she goes to visit her cousin at the Bishop ranch that she realizes that Braxton works there. And he’s angry.

Because this was a novella, there obviously wasn’t a whole lot of build up with these two characters and the story moved rather quickly. The animosity these two characters had for each other led to a prank war, which eventually led the two of them back together. I’ll be honest, there was one scene during all the pranking that I laughed out loud and my husband asked me what was wrong. I just couldn’t hold it in.

While not my favorite K Fox book ever, I’d still recommend this to fans of the duo, especially to anyone that has read Falling for the Cowboy and loved it. Both Preston and Colton make appearances in this one, and I loved seeing them again!

Charli’s Review

I enjoy reading Kennedy Fox’s books because it feels like coming home. They do such a great job of building upon the worlds that they have created as well as creating new worlds. Roping the Cowboy falls into the former category, which I always love because I usually get to catch up with some of my old favorites.

This book was a second chance (kinda sorta) romance full of angst and pranks wars and so much passion. I loved it so much!

Braxton is a sweetheart who isn’t as appealed to his manwhore ways after spending a night with Kat. Kat is a woman who just wants to give into her passion for once and go about her day after. They don’t expect the sparks that fly between them and put themselves through a lot in order to deny it.

With it being a novella, there isn’t too much to the story, but it was still fantastic. I can’t wait to see more from this duo writing in this series. I love me some cowboys and KFox certainly know how to write them!
