He’s everything I want but run away from.

There’s a long list of things I don’t handle well:
Change.
Relationships.
Breakups.

But there’s one person above everything else I can’t seem to get a handle on.
Brody Wallace.
In short, he’s perfect. The reality, he scares me.

He’s the opposite of what I usually go for. He’s bigger. Intimidating. He reminds me of someone I’d rather forget. When I need to find a new place to live, Brody offers me his spare room, but I have no plans on taking him up on the offer. He doesn’t know what happened to me five years ago, and I want to keep it that way.
But with limited options, I find myself outside his apartment holding a full moving box and wondering: How can I do this without exposing the darkest part of my past?

REVIEW:

I have loved every single one of Eden’s books because they are so heartwarming. They are always full of hope and finding that person in your life who makes you feel safe. Unspoken Vow had a slightly more emotional edge to it than her other books and this story definitely called for it. We met both Anders and Brody in the first Steele Brother book, Unwritten Law, but you didn’t need to read that one in order to get immersed in Anders’ and Brody’s story.

Anders is still crippled by a past that causes him to distrust everyone aside from his identical twin and his family. However, when his anxiety forces him onto a road with less than ideal options, he takes a chance on moving into Brody’s spare room, despite his reservations about the guy he keeps turning down dates from. Brody has been infatuated with Anders ever since he met him, but keeps getting turned down by the only guy who keeps his attention. With working 80+ hours a week in a job he is finding turns his stomach, Brody doesn’t have a lot of time to devote to a relationship. Although, he’s about to find out just how much he is willing to change that when Anders finally agrees to move in with him. Sparks fly and emotions run high between these two men, but will they both be able to keep Anders’ past from preventing them becoming more than roommates?

I truly did love both of these characters tremendously. I was amazed to read Anders’ story arc from beginning to end. The growth and the healing that we see in him is absolutely beautiful and full of hope. The bond he forms with that ugly, damaged cat was one of my favorite things. The steps he took to ensure that he and Brody can continue moving forward were huge. It was slow going and required lots of patience, but that is what made this book so realistic.

Brody has to be the most patient, kind man that I have ever read. He was beyond supportive of Anders and his health. He was willing to do whatever was necessary to make sure Anders felt safe and comfortable with him. Brody was the perfect guy for Anders!

I can’t wait to see what Eden is going to write for us next!

About the Author:

Eden Finley is an Amazon bestselling author who writes steamy contemporary romances that are full of snark and light-hearted fluff.

She doesn’t take anything too seriously and lives to create an escape from real life for her readers. The ideas always begin with a wackadoodle premise, and she does her best to turn them into romances with heart.

With a short attention span that rivals her five-year-old son’s, she writes multiple different pairings: MM, MMF, and MF.

She’s also an Australian girl and apologises for her Australianisms that sometimes don’t make sense to anyone else.
