A lost virgin vampire queen. Two vampire knights sworn to protect her.
It’s about to get very hot… and bloody…

Ever since her mother was murdered by monsters five years ago, Shara Isador has been on the run. Alone, scared, and exhausted, she’s finally cornered in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Out of hope with nowhere else to turn, she’s ready to end it all when two men come to her rescue.

They say she’s a lost queen descended from Isis, and they’re her Blood, vampire knights sworn to protect her. It all seems like a crazy nightmare, until the alpha offers his blood. Then she realizes she’s never wanted anything more. Except maybe his body… and his friend’s, too.

But they’re not the only ones searching for a lost queen. Shara must learn how to wield her new powers quickly and conquer her fears if she intends to keep them all alive.

This is a MMFFM+ polyam series and Shara will never be forced to choose just one. #whychoose

I was itching for a reverse harem series when I came across Queen Takes Knights by Joely Sue Burkhart. I am so happy that I did because it was hot as hell, sensual, and action packed.

I thought Joely did a fantastic job writing this series because each book kept building until we reach an epic conclusion. It was fun because each book Joely added fresh Blood to the group, which certainly kept things interesting.

I really enjoyed Shara’s character across the series. She was always on the run and moving from place to place before Rik and Daire found her. They were the ones who first told her the truth of her heritage and the expectations of their world in the first book. I loved Shara’s sassy, spunky nature, and her inability to give up. She is loyal to her core and is not willing to compromise herself or those she loves in order to follow what has always been done. As she grew accustomed to this new world, she realized she was not alone and had all of these Blood just waiting for her to call them to her side.

The Blood helped Shara navigate this world that she had no idea she would play such a huge role in. They knew exactly what Shara needed and it was beautiful to watch them all embrace their new life. Each new Blood brought something new to the group. Some of them were loyal and honor bound, some were ornery and needed attention, some were sarcastic and prickly as hell, but they all needed the affection only Shara could give them. I honestly can’t choose who my favorite is because they were all so unique and gifted. Rik might be my number one, but it’s too hard to choose #whychoose.

I absolutely can’t wait for the spin-off books that Joely has planned because I already miss this world. She already promised there will be cameos from these characters, which I am stoked about. I want to know what happens with Shara and her Blood down the road.
