Two besties and a baby make for an instafamily and a surprising romance in a delightful series by Melissa Foster, the New York Times bestselling author of the Sugar Lake novels.

Ben Dalton has always been honest, except where his heart is concerned. He’s been in love with his best friend—saucy, smart-mouthed Aurelia Stark—forever. But Ben’s a planner, and timing has never been on his side. When he finally decides to make his move, Aurelia beats him to the punch with a move of her own—to a different town.

Aurelia loves her new life in the charming town of Harmony Pointe. She has a great apartment and her very own bookstore, and best of all, the sinfully hot, commitment-phobic friend she’s crushed on for years is no longer just around the corner. Maybe she’ll finally be able to leave her unrequited love behind and move on.

But when a baby is left on Ben’s front porch—a baby that is presumably his—Aurelia is there for him. Neither one knows the first thing about babies, but how hard can it be? Ben and Aurelia are catapulted into a world of love, laughter, and tracking down the baby mama, and it might even add up to a very happily ever after… just not one either of them expects.

I absolutely adored my first Melissa Foster book! I knew I would when I saw there was a baby involved. This was the perfect friends to lovers contemporary romance!

Ben has been the quintessential bachelor for more than a decade. However, when his bachelor lifestyle comes back to bite him in the ass, he turns to his best friend, Aurelia, for help. Ben and Aurelia have been best friends their whole lives and they have been dancing around each other for at least half that time. Their whole relationship has been affected by bad timing, but this time, neither of them will let their bad timing get in the way of finally admitting what they both feel.

Ben is a take charge kind of guy and adapts to new situations like he has been doing it forever. When a baby is left on his porch, his whole world is flipped upside down. Once again, he takes charge of the situation to ensure his daughter is safe and loved. I absolutely melted at any scene involving Ben and his baby B. Ben doesn’t do anything halfway and took to being a daddy like a fish takes to water. He also wasn’t about to let Aurelia get away from him again, especially when he sees the looks she keeps giving him.

Aurelia is one of the most loyal, strong book nerds that I have ever met. She has been in love with her best friend for what feels like forever, and finally made the decision to move on with her life. Although, that was before baby B landed in their world with the force of a bomb. Suddenly, she finds herself growing attached to this beautiful baby girl and the man who fathered her. She starts to miss them when she isn’t with them, and is determined to give Ben one more chance to return the feelings she so desperately wants him to return.

I really really loved Ben and Aurelia. They were perfect for each other and they both handled unexpected situations with grace and determination. Neither of them were about to let baby B down. I also loved Ben’s family! Now, I need to go back and read some of their books because I am in love!
