The former Tin Gypsy motorcycle club has everyone in Clifton Forge, Montana convinced they’ve locked their clubhouse doors and ripped off their patches. Everyone but Bryce Ryan. There’s more happening at the club’s garage than muscle car restorations and Harley rebuilds. Her instincts are screaming there’s a story—one she’s going to tell.

As the new owner of the small town’s newspaper, Bryce is hungry for more than birth announcements and obituaries. When a woman is brutally killed and all signs point to the Tin Gypsies, Bryce is determined to expose the club and their leader, Kingston “Dash” Slater, as murderers.

Bryce bests Dash match after match, disappointed her rugged and handsome opponent turns out to be an underwhelming adversary. Secrets are exposed. Truths defeat lies. Bryce is poised to win this battle in a landslide.

Then Dash breaks all the rules and tips the scales.

One kiss, and she’s fighting to save more than just her story. She’s fighting to save her heart from the Gypsy King.

Charli’s Review:

I have become such a huge fan of Devney Perry’s books! I have fallen in love with the Montana settings where her books take place, and the suspense element that she weaves into her books. Devney is one of those authors who continues to grow with each book that she writes, and Gypsy King is one of her best books to date. This book was unlike anything she has written and I was all about it!

I was intrigued with the Tin Gypsies from previous books written and I couldn’t wait to get their story. We also met our main heroine, Bryce, in The Outpost and making her our heroine was genius when paired with Gypsy King, Kingston “Dash” Slater. These two were a wild ride that I never wanted to get off.

Bryce is out to prove to herself that she can make it as an investigative journalist in a small town newspaper owned by her dad. Bryce is a fierce, strong heroine who is willing to do anything to get the truth. She does not back down from a fight. Dash is a man with a past that needs to stay buried, but he is not prepared for Bryce’s nosy behavior. Their attraction and chemistry is magnetic and I couldn’t get enough of it. They pushed each other until they exploded and I lived for those moments.

This story was fascinating and intriguing. I found myself sucked into this mysterious story and trying to figure out what happened. I felt like I was right next to Bryce as she hunted down leads and went toe to toe with Dash. I am so excited to see what else Devney brings us with this series!

Emily’s Review:

I fell in love with Devney’s writing when I read The Birthday List a few years back. I was immediately taken by her prose and the way she wove the story through with such emotion. She’s yet to disappoint me with anything she’s written, and Gypsy King was no exception. It was so, so good. Not to mention, it has one of the best covers I have ever seen and probably my favorite Devney Perry cover ever!

Bryce has left her big city life to return home and work for her father’s newspaper in their small hometown. While she loves working with her dad, and everything that she does, she’s itching to discover the dirty secrets of the town, and the fact that the Tin Gypsies, a once notorious bad boy biker gang, have suddenly “gone good” makes her all the more determined to find out what they’re hiding. To make it even more intriguing, the president of Tin Gypsy is arrested for murder, and like a dog with a bone, Bryce can’t let the story go.

Dash is just enjoying his life as a mechanic after leaving behind the illegal activity of the bikers. He just wants to fix cars and motorcycles and leave the past behind him. However the arrest of his father sets his world in a tailspin, and Bryce’s bothersome ways and hounding to get information aren’t helping anything. When he sees that he isn’t going to be able to stop her from searching for the facts, he has no other choice but to join her in her hunt.

I loved this couple, and the romantic suspense type element to this novel. Bryce was sharp witted, fun and a total go getter and I really adored her as the female protagonist. Dash was one of my favorite male leads in a long time, and I fell in love with almost immediately. He definitely was added to my book boyfriend list! Gypsy King is probably one of my favorite Devney Perry novels to date, and I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us in this series!
